The Georgetown University Women’s Leadership Institute was to host the 2015 Forté MBA Women’s Leadership Conference at the McDonough School of Business on June 19th and 20th. The event explored how women in business can build and ignite their own power bases with the theme “Let’s Power Up!” Through thought-provoking speakings, panels, and networking session, attendees were able to explore the nature of power and presence in the context of workplace politics.
GUWLI Executive Director Catherine Tinsley moderated a discussion with Jocelyn Cunningham a Senior Partner for Financial Services Information Practice and US Consulting Market Offering Portfolio Leader at Deloitte and Gisel Ruiz the Executive Vice President of Walmart for the conference’s Dialogue with Leadership. In their candid discussion on business leadership, the panel discussed how they advanced to top, the challenges they’ve faced throughout their careers, and best practice for other women in business to achieve success.
