Each year, alumni, faculty, students, staff, family members and friends of the Georgetown community travel to a different city to celebrate the university and the leaders it creates. The weekend is packed with social, cultural and intellectual events that give participants the chance to engage with one another and with Georgetown’s outstanding faculty and university leaders.
On May 4, the Georgetown University Alumni Club of the United Kingdom, in conjunction with the Georgetown McDonough Office of Alumni Relations, held a special evening reception as part of 2013 John Carroll Weekend schedule. Guest speakers are the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown (JD ’75) United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Catherine H. Tinsley, professor of management, McDonough School of Business.
During this event, Professor Catherine Tinsley moderated a panel on the research behind how people use body language, rhetoric, and clothing styles to their advantage in the workplace. (presentation)
